The article is aimed at reviewing the control and supervisory activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as analyzing the author's approaches to the concepts of control and supervision. The relevance of the topic is related to the reform of control and supervisory activities, which were influenced by the amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation. The author also considers the importance of control and supervision as part of the management functions. It is based on the method of cognition-analysis.
