The convergence of strategies as a way to increase competitiveness of marathon runners

The article deals with the modern interpretations of convergence concept in the context of various sciences. The author suggests that it is possible to increase competitiveness of marathon runners by convergence of several strategies: development of competitive potential, its fulfillment in the particular competitive event, athletes’ motivation to participate in competitions in the public interest, selection of athletes with the high potential. The target level of competitiveness is considered as convergence of various types of strategies.
