The article is a publication of a copy of royal charter of Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich to the Persian Shah Safi I. The document was written in the Ambassadorial Chancery and sent with the Russian ambassadors Semyon Vasilyevich Volynsky and deacon Sergei Matveev to Persia. The copy is made from the letter, the list of which is part of the «Persian» embassy book № 10 (1642-1649). This document is mentioned in the historiography and is being published for the first time.
