Democratic People’s Republic of Korea: monuments to Soviet and Russian figures and military historical events

The article examines monuments to Soviet and Russian figures in North Korea (DPRK), as well as the graves of Soviet soldiers who fell during the Korean War of 1950-1953 and were buried on Korean soil. According to the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Pyongyang, there are 11 mass graves and 345 separate graves of Soviet servicemen and citizens of the USSR on the territory of the DPRK. The text provides a brief summary of the exploits of Y.Novichenko, M.Yanko, M.Tsukanova, e.a. Russian citizens, visiting North Korea as tourists, get acquainted with the monuments and graves of Soviet soldiers and find the burial places of their relatives or acquaintances.
