Phytogenous feed in the Sikhote-Alin brown bear’s nourishment

Phytogenous is the basis of the Sikhote-Alin brown bear’s dietary intake (up to 89.7%). Feeding list of the bear includes more than 66 species of vascular plants. In summer brown bear's nourishment generally consists of herbaceous plants. Mongolian oak's acorns and Korean pine's nuts are the most important forage in the fattening period.
