Coronation rituals in researches of the British positivists

In article the analysis of researches of the British historians of second half of XIX-th century is presented. Works about coronation rituals are exposed to studying. Features of approaches of English scientists to the analysis of crownings come to light. The author puts a problem to define methodological concepts of research of ritual and to show on the British material practical application of positivistic methods of history creating.
