In our time, along with advances in technology, there are new sources of fear for human existence. If the last century was marked by the threat of nuclear war, the fear of terrorism, AIDS, poor adaptation to the new conditions of life in society has a very real basis. Fears have long been the object of psychological research. Fear is most often defined as an emotional state that occurs in the presence or anticipation of a dangerous or harmful stimulus. Younger teenagers, because of their emotional sensitivity, experience all these fears with special force, which, superimposed on traditional children's phobias, can lead to serious violations of their emotional sphere up to neurotic disorders. As a result, the study of adolescent fears, as well as personal factors that predispose to them, seems to us an actual and practically significant psychological problem.
