Research of a friction surface at covering from powdered wire with aluminium oxide is conducted. Profile autocorrelation functions, transverse way of friction are studied; the radius of correlation reflecting the average width of furrows on a friction surface is defined. For the theoretical description of profile correlation the statistical model of chafing the powdered coverings at a sliding friction is used.
