The development of aquaculture is an important factor in ensuring food security and economic growth. The purpose is to conduct a correlation analysis of fish production depending on the country of production. Data on the production and biodiversity of aquaculture in Colombia and Russia for 2010– 2024 were used. Significant types of aquaculture were determined based on the Pareto chart. Cluster correlation analysis between the main indicators was used. The average annual production in Russia was 203,221 thousand tons in live weight, which is 77,318 thousand tons or 61.4% higher than in Colombia. In Russia, the variability of aquaculture production is 65.1% higher than the diversity in Colombia. The values of the standard deviation confirm the high variability of annual aquaculture production in Russia. Tilapia production accounted for 46.2% of the total volume of aquaculture in Colombia. In Russia, the largest production volume is accounted for by common carp, with a share of 34.7% in the structure of biodiversity, which is 16.11% more than the production volume of rainbow trout. The average annual increase shows a high positive relationship with the diversity of species, the correlation coefficient was 0.86. This trend ensures an increase in aquaculture production in Russia with an increase in biodiversity. In the long term, diversification will not lead to growth for Russia, as a negative relationship has been identified between the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) and the biodiversity of aquaculture species. The stability of production in Russia and diversification contrast with the fluctuations observed in Colombia. There are definitely areas of improvement in the efficiency of aquaculture production between the countries. In the field of research, joint collaboration could be useful in areas such as sustainable aquaculture practices and the integration of renewable energy sources into aquaculture.
