Correlation analysis of yield and elements of productivity of winter soft wheat varieties in the arid conditions of steppe zone of Middle Volga region

The article presents the results of studies for 2014-2017 on the correlation of yield with the elements of the structure and quality of grain of winter wheat varieties. As a result of our studies revealed significant differences in yield, the number of spikelets and grains from the ear and the mass of grain from the ear in the arid conditions of the Middle Volga region. In a sense, they can be used as a selection criterion to improve the productivity of winter wheat plants. The most reliable correlations were revealed between the yield, the number of spikelets in the ear, the number of grains per ear and the weight of grain per ear.
