The present study investigates the impact of chemical de-icing agents on the elements of automobile loadbearing structures when subjected to winter operating conditions. The analysis encompasses compositions of reagent mixtures, peculiarities of their application, and mechanisms of influence on metal units of vehicles. A review of the literature and regulatory documents is presented, and key factors contributing to the accelerated development of corrosion processes are identified. Proposals are put forth for the enhancement of automotive protection measures, with consideration given to the operational conditions.
