On the issue of the legal mechanism of counteracting corruption in the public procurement

Purpose: Analysis of the phenomenon of corruption in the aspect of its manifestations in the sphere of procurement of goods, works, services for state and municipal needs. Methodology: Formal-legal and comparative methods, analysis, synthesis were used. Results: Some forms of corruption manifestation, which arise in the procurement of goods, works, services for state and municipal needs, are analyzed, recommendations on accounting for this type of corruption as a significant threat to economic security are suggested. Novelty/Originality/Value: The correlation of economic security and corruption in the contract system has been investigated. The main structural elements of the system of ensuring economic security in the sphere of public procurement, including elements of counteracting corruption in this sphere, are determined.
