Corruption: peculiarities of public perception and the methods of counteraction

The article analyzes corruption as a social phenomenon, which represents a serious risk to the Russian society, threatening its stability. The authors present results of the pilot research of public perception of corruption by residents of the large Russian megalopolis -Yekaterinburg in comparison with the conclusions of foreign publications on criminological topics. The paper considers participation of various age groups in the situations associated with corruption, their attitude to such situations. The authors describe possible methods of counteraction to corrupt behaviour, reviews ideas of respondents of these methods, and readiness to resist the corruption.
