Based on archival documents introduced into the science for the first time, the author analyzes corrupt ties that existed in the post-war collective farms. According to the author, the complexity of the economic situation and dictates of the party and the bureaucracy forced the management team of collective farms to step over the law. On the one hand, they had to satisfy the request from the higher authorities, and on the other, they sought to ensure financial stability of their families. The author concludes that despite the prevalence of specific social relations between the heads of collective farms and district leaders, corruption was not a mass phenomenon.
