The afterlife cosmology in the classical protestantism philosophy

The paper analyzes the philosophical systems of binary Protestantism and ternary Catholicism in their dialectical confrontation. The author considers the afterlife beliefs in theories of Luther, Calvin, Edwards who advocated the abolition of the doctrine of purgatory and supported dialectical return to the New Testament tradition. The social ontology of Protestantism couldnt have the middle states, whereby a righteous person was able to reach perpetual bliss, and a sinner - unending punishment. The existence of another state was not supported by Protestant beliefs.
