The craniocaudal gradient of the regenerative potentials of organs and tissues

Comparatively great potentials of the tissues of distal body parts have been revealed by the analysis of the maximal regenerative potentials of different organs during treatment of 54 patients from the department of vertebrology, 164 patients with closed fractures of leg and femur bones from the department of traumatology, 193 patients with growth retardation of leg and femur, 144 patients with achondroplasia and also 33 patients from the department of hand and foot which was performed by the method of distraction osteosynthesis. The phenomenon revealed has been substantiated theoretically, and the causes of its occurrence have been determined
