The craniological materials from the ancient kurgan burials of the Berezhnovsky type

The article suggests a revision of the anthropological materials from the most ancient kurgan burials at the Volga region in the light of the new archaeological ideas. The author proposes the morphological characteristic of the anthropological materials and reveals their resemblance to the complexes of the craniological materials of the Eneolithic epoch from the Eastern Europe; he reconstructs the connections between the studied culture and Hvalynsk eneolitic culture, and Pit-grave culture of the early Bronze Age.
