The red «Komsomol Christmas» and the problem of creating a new life-style in the early 1920's

The article is devoted to the experience of organization of the so-called «Komsomol Christmas» and «Komsomol Easter» as the main forms of anti-religious campaign of 1922-1923 aimed at overcoming the religious way of life and the formation of a new culture of daily life. The author reveals the role of the Communist Party and the Young Communist League as the initiators of the campaign; the interaction between the central and local Party and Komsomol organizations during preparation for the Komsomol Christmas and Komsomol Easter; the meaning, and the results of the campaign.
