The article raises the problem of lack of metering machines, which would provide greater performance and lower power consumption and meet the zootechnic and technological requirements of modern production of feed mixtures. The description of multi-component metering units of some known and commercially available systems for the preparation of animal feed is given. The accuracy of multi-component dispensing of free-running feedsw substantially increases when the dosed material is being exposed to vibration. The effect of vibration results in free-flowing feed material transition into a state of "fluidization", which allows to achieve an even flowing due to the reduction of friction forces, that will be easily manageable. In this case the velocity of the bulk feed remains constant in average, which is a technological basis for achieving low error rate in dos- age. High precision of vibration input of the components allows to achieve higher quality feed mixture.
