The article examines the peasant disturbances in 1918 on the territory of Bashkortostan caused by dissatisfaction with the policy of the Soviet government. The authors investigate the food and agrarian policy of the Bolsheviks that became the reason and the main cause of peasant uprisings in the region, which was one of the main food exporters to the central regions of Russia. The work is written on the basis of unpublished and published sources and researches of Russian scientists.
