Forensic characteristics of sexual violence committed against juveniles and minors

The article analyzes scientific concepts and views on one of the main structural elements of the methodology of investigation of certain types of crimes - forensic characteristics of crimes. The author points out the importance of considering the content of forensic characteristics and meaning of its elements for crimes investigation, in particular, to investigate sexual violence committed against juveniles and minors. The author reveals the content of the main elements of forensic characteristics of this category of crime: modus operandi, crime situation, characteristics of the victim and the perpetrator. The knowledge of typical forensic characteristics of sexual battery will help the investigator to get timely the right direction of the investigation, introduce his\her ideas of the identity of the offender, select a set of necessary initial investigative actions in order to raise effectiveness of the investigation.
