The article is devoted to the criminalistic characteristics of serial murders. Features of search of persons at the initial stage of investigation are studied. The structure of the elements characteristic is considered, its peculiarity expressed by a high degree of specificity is emphasized. The necessity of studying of this characteristic for the best search of criminals is analyzed.
