Criminalistic research of electronic information carriers as a new branch of technical and criminalistic activities

The article discusses the concept of the formation of a new branch of technical and forensic activities related to the forensic research of electronic media, studying the patterns of the mechanism of cybercrimes, the emergence of information about a crime and its participants in digital traces, the patterns of their detection, collection, research, identification, authentication and use. The author reveals the structure of the new industry in accordance with the methodological approaches to the formation of a private forensic theory.
