The author shares his personal memories of Lev Lvovich Kanevsky, an outstanding criminalist, Doctor of Law, Professor, founder of the scientific direction of research into the problems of prevention, investigation and detection of crimes committed by minors and young people. The introductory part gives a capacious description of Lev Lvovich's scientific and organizational genius, provides facts from joint research work with the author on the problems of criminalistic support for crime investigation and detection. In the second part, using comparative-legal, formal-legal and system-structural methods, the necessity of research of criminalistic support for preventing, investigating and detecting crimes committed by bloggers through their type characterization outlines is shown. The author dwells in detail on the analysis of criminal forms of dissemination, propaganda and other means of retransmission of information, prohibited under the threat of punishment due to the increased social danger of such activities. Criminal encroachment issues are not neglected when activities in the public space are used for extortion and other crimes where interaction with the Internet audience is at the core. All these crimes are shown in the light of blogging as an activity that was reflected in the legislation only in the short-term retrospective of 2014-2017 and that currently has no legal regulation even in the most general form. The article proves the necessity of regulating the blogosphere, defining the status of a blogger; it presents a type characterization of crimes committed in the blogosphere, with a reservation about the need for a legislative definition of the key concept.
