Separate aspects of the criminological characteristic of the personality of the offender - the participant of public mass events (including protest actions) are considered . The results of the study of the personality of the offender, based on the analysis of individual criminological and psychological characteristics of the personality, are presented . The identity of the criminal a participant in public mass events (including protest actions) has significant features that are due to a number of factors . Among the participants of public mass events (including protest actions), as by analogy, the participants of the crowd, it is possible to distinguish the instigators (core) of public mass events, participants of public mass events (aggressive personalities adjacent to the crowd for psychological needs - to give psychological relief; others - persons with mercenary motivation (to commit theft during a pogrom, theft of personal belongings - participants of protest actions), persons with political motivation, persons with extremist motivation, conscientiously deluded (townsfolk, united) and other townsfolk (they are attracted by the excess as an exciting spectacle that distinguishes their boring, dull existence), curious and observing people .The study of personality creates prerequisites for the development of individual preventive measures by police officers, Rosgvardiya, and provides an opportunity to predict the future behavior of a criminal participating in public mass events . Based on the conducted research, the author proposes a typology of persons who commit crimes during public mass events (including protest actions) .
