Criminological aspects of the analysis of the process of digitalization of various spheres of society

The article describes the author’s approach to the use of criminology methods in order to analyze the processes of digitalization of various spheres of life in the information society. The possibilities of using the conceptual and categorical apparatus, scientific and practical developments and research methods of criminology to clarify the impact of digitalization on the state of public security, the emergence of new types of offenses, determining the effectiveness of information society institutions to prevent high-tech crime in the information and communication network “Internet” are revealed. Based on the data of our own expert socio-legal research, a description of promising ways of using criminological methods in ensuring the safe development of digital components of various spheres of life of the information society is carried out.
