Cryptocurrency as the main money of the digital economy

One of the important topics that is considered in modern economic science is the importance and place of cryptocurrency in the digital economy, as well as their role, which they play in it. During its evolution, money went through several stages, from commodity money to electronic money, of which cryptocurrency is a variety. The article considers cryptocurrency and its distinctive features as a factor in the development of the digital economy. In addition, this is an actual systematization of views on cryptocurrency money as the main money in the digital economy. The views of scientists on cryptocurrency have repeatedly changed and continue to change. It caused our interest in this paper. First, cryptocurrency is money intended for all types of payments and the purchase of goods and services on the Internet. Secondly, crypto-lute is an investment asset that can be used not only for saving and preserving value, but also for investing, since the cryptocurrency is not subject to inflation. Thirdly, the modern view of cryptocurrency, which reveals completely new facets of modern economic (economic) activity, tells us that cryptocurrency is a commodity. We also note that the question of the nature of cryptocurrency is directly related to determining the development of modern money in the economy. It is likely that the future will show us new facets of cryptocurrency in connection with the latest changes in the economy, its acquisition of a new innovative status.
