Cryptocurrencies: history, background

The article is devoted to the study of the prerequisites and main stages of the introduction of cryptocurrencies. In the article, the author analyzes the socio-economic and technological factors that contributed to the creation of cryptocurrencies, such as the need for decentralized financial systems, the decline in trust in traditional financial institutions, the development of Internet technologies and cryptography. Particular attention is paid to the role of blockchain technology in ensuring the security and transparency of cryptocurrency transactions.
