Diagnostic criteria and prevalence of metabolic syndrome and its components

Metabolic syndrome (MS), which is based on insulin resistance. This syndrome includes a number of risk factors (RF): arterial hypertension (AH), IGT, dyslipoproteinemia (DLP), obesity, hyperurecemia, and other risk factors. It should be noted that in individual studies, the number of components included in the MS differs. At the same time, AH, BMI, hyperlipidemia and hyperinsulinemia remain the main components of MS.
