Crisis of the western methodology in studying of "cold war" and the sociological approach

In the paper the author considers modern approaches to studying of «cold war» developed in the West. The author researches the crisis phenomena in the methodology, outlined in the western historiography of «cold war» and the sociological approach as a possible variant of an output from methodological deadlock.
