Crisis thinking of adolescents with different mechanisms for the formation of suicidal behavior

Objective : to develop differentiated approaches to the rehabilitation of adolescents with borderline mental disorders and various forms of suicidal behavior based on the characteristics of their crisis thinking. Material and methods: 122 adolescents with different types of suicidal behavior were divided into 3 groups: with a depressive episode (n=26), with reactions to stress and adaptation disorders (n=64), with emerging personality disorders (n=32). Motivators and personal sense of suicidal behavior, as well as cognitive distortions and metaprograms of the sphere of suicidal conflict were studied. Results: The style of crisis thinking of adolescents differed depending on the diagnosis and severity of suicidal behavior. In adolescents with depressive episodes, the motive for self-punishment was significantly more frequent (46.2%), as well as the ‘renouncement’ motive (19.2%); their crisis thinking was characterized by the lowest level of “steness”, “transfer of responsibility” and “drama”...
