Largest reptile of the fauna – Central Asian varanus griseus caspius

The fauna of Uzbekistan is characterized by a wealth of species. Most desert species are adapted to fast movement. Lizards are the most characteristic and numerous group of reptiles in Central Asia in terms of species and individuals. One of the largest lizards is the Central Asian gray monitor lizard.
