Crimean autonomy in the context of the collapse of the USSR (aspects of the theory)

The aim of the article is to analyze the theoretical issues concerned with the interpretation of the essence of Crimean self-regulation in the context of the collapse of the USSR. The article carries out an analysis of the research literature, in particular, the specific features of the political actors’ participation on the union, the republican and the regional levels in the restoration of the Crimean Autonomous Republic. The author considers specifics of their responses to the challenges associated with the decay of the political system of the USSR.
