This article examines the peculiarities of the functioning of the folk Cossack singing art of Kuban in the context of the spiritual culture of Russia, which has consistently developed in a variety of situations, both in conditions of peaceful existence and in difficult social conditions of wars and revolutions, catastrophes, repression and resettlement. But, despite all the complexity of social development, negative phenomena in society, a huge number of songs have been created that have not yet lost their popularity. No obstacles and difficulties prevented the Kuban Cossack song from carrying the highest spiritual values in its content, including the deepest patriotism, love for the Fatherland, the Kuban land, people, kindness, beauty, loyalty, devotion, wisdom, freedom.
