Culture as a way of value development of being and praxeological behavior of people

The article is devoted to the consideration of value and activity approaches to the analysis of culture. It is shown that values are important not in themselves, but as criteria for a person’s choice of certain alternatives in a given situation. Culture, thus, becomes a way and method of value development of being, expressed in the praxeological behavior of people. In the process of activity, a person creates, including himself, develops his essential powers, carries out socialization and individualization, and becomes a member of society, a unique person. This is the human-making, cultural meaning of human activity. The activity approach allows us to overcome the limitations and shortcomings of the value approach, which is expressed in the awareness of the dynamics factor. Culture is perceived not only as an object, but also as a process.
