Educational activities of music museums in Russia

The article analyzes the historical way of music education in Russia before the appearance of music museums, the periods of formation and rapid development of music communities now. The main emphasis is on the consideration of educational activities carried out by researchers in music museums in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The main directions and forms of work with visitors, used in musical education in museums of the XXI century.
