Cultural and religious revival of Muslim communities in 1985-1997 (based on the materials of Chelyabinsk origin)

The article deals with the cultural and religious revival of Muslim communities occurred on the territory of the Chelyabinsk region in the period of perestroika and after it. A transformation of religious communities happened, which led to the appearance of a formal system of hierarchy. It helped to solve problems “on the place”. Sometimes the process of national self-consciousness was in exaggerated form - creation of Argayashskaya autonomy. The effects of this process were reflected in the institualization of state-confessional relations. In the end appeared the new religious legislation and agreement of cooperation.
