Cultural provision of workers and peasants of Red army serving soldiers during Polish campaign of 1939

This article analyzes the cultural service of soldiers and commanders of the Workers ''and Peasants'' Red Army in 1939 during the Polish campaign. Based on unpublished archival sources show features cultural and educational work in the armed forces during their stay in the territories of Western Belarus and Western Ukraine. We consider the means, forms and methods of spiritual influence on the soldiers, identified achievements and shortcomings. Much attention is paid to the cultural and artistic services in parts of the Red Army, a significant role played by teams in which artists were in the troops on Polish territory. It was noted that as a result of the work done at the personnel of the Red Army grew markedly political consciousness, which was a very high standard with many soldiers and commanders. Presents reviews of various categories of local residents, in which they expressed their attitude to the servicemen of the Workers ''and Peasants'' Red Army, appreciate their cultural and political level. The publication noted great political work, carry out cultural and educational institutions of the Red Army among the families of officers and command staff. The output is said that during the fighting in the contemporary conditions of cultural and leisure activities in the Russian armed forces should be planned taking into account historical experience of cultural activity in the army, the current military-political situation and concentrate around addressing explanations military causes of the war and participation in Russia, the geopolitical interests of the conflicting parties, the need to protect the country''s interests, loyalty, martial traditions.
