The interpretation of the how and why in the evolution of social-cultural complexity, is reapproached based on social, terrestrial and astronomical causes. Here as system we take all manifestation of a group of humans that develop and create a culture. It is accepted that the development and trajectories of such cultures in the world depend on various factors in a synergistic way. The dynamical complex mechanics are operative in any culture’s formation, and the complex systems indeed present problems both in mathematical modeling and philosophical foundations. The study of complex cultural systems represents a new approach to non-linear science that investigates how relationships between parts give rise to the collective behaviors of a system and how the system interacts and forms relationships with its immediate and/or distant environment. Our aim is to identify attributes and explain the fact of non-linear cultural evolution during the last twelve thousand years with exemplary archaeological and historical cases taken from the SE Mediterranean region.
