Cultural competences and intellectual environments

The article discusses the experience of using the competence approach in education from the point of view of maintenance necessary for creativity level of culture. As a strategic task of national education justified its focus on the formation of such a specific social and cultural product, as a creative intellectual environment. The formation of creative intellectual environments and patterns of reproduction are discussed in the context of the problem state of the General culture. Based on the number conducted in the 1990s - 2010s, according to the original methods of empirical research carried out diagnostics of a condition of the social and cultural environment of modern Russian students. Highlights some trends in the evolution of this environment, a comparison of the obtained survey data for different years. Attention is drawn to the gender culture of modern Russian students.
