This article analyses the Kurdish movement under Khodou in Iranian Khorasan at the beginning of the XX century that had anticolonial overtone. The author suggests the original interpretation of the movement based on her analysis of archival materials and new fundamental essays. The author studies the negative attitude of Khodou to British and Russian colonialism, investigates the reasons of its collaboration with the Soviet agents that used it in their interests. They left his movement without any help because Khodou did not become a Bolshevik but he expressed the interests of the conservative part of the Kurdish complicity of Iranian Khorasan. Rising had anti-government and anti-British overtone. However, because of low level of the national self-awareness, the Rebels did not make neither political nor social demands, e. g. carrying out an agrarian reform, or distribution of water resources, or regulation of taxes. The actions of the Iranian authorities played a considerable role in the defeat of the rebels. They bribed the leaders of Kurdish and others Tribes and instigated hostility between them. The hostility of some Khans and shii clergy to Khodou contributed to the split of his movement.
