The author of the article, significant damage is considered as a sign of the main composition or a qualifying sign of crimes against property. The problems of conformity of practice of application of the criminally-legal norms, providing responsibility for committing crimes against property with causing significant damage, the principle of guilt are revealed. The types of significant damage and court practice of qualifying crimes against property with causing significant damage are analyzed. Suggested directions for solving identified problems.
