High-skill of the labour force as a factor of economic growth

The article deals with the correlation between the workforce quality and the economic growth. The principle contradictory trends in the labour market development in both European region and Russia are identified. The author discusses the main strategies of the labour force development in developed countries and their key performance indicators. The main statistical indicators of the Russian labour market are also analysed. Over the recent years in Russia the problem of the labour force reproduction has been exacerbated: the average age of the employed population is increasing every year. Resolution of this problem determines integration of Russia into the global space with sustainable competitive advantage.
