The landscape distribution of the complexes of the ants of Formica rufa in the phytocenosis of the Nizhny Novgorod region

The article deals with the regularities of the distribution of the complexes of the anthills of the wood ants (Formica rufa) in the different landscape districts of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The so-called “bands of concentrations” in some districts of the regions were discovered and given the spatial and geoinformational analysis. The results of the field studies were used as the basis of the digital picture, that helps to analyze the possible correlation between the type of the landscape and the frequency of the complexes’ occurrence.
