In article the problems of steppe ecosystems preservation are considered. The role of Stipa Lessingiana as indicator of secondary steppes restoration is noted. Suggestions for improvement the nature protection actions directed on preservation of being restored secondary steppes in territories of low-demanded land fund are made.
