A laser fluorospectrograph was studied to monitor the condition of plants. The results of experimental studies of the spectra of laser-induced fluorescence of plants under various stress conditions caused by the presence of contaminants in the soil, excess water, and mechanical damage to plants are presented. It was shown that at a fluorescence excitation wavelength of 532 nm, the influence of various stress factors can be manifested depending on the type of stress and plant type, both in an increase in the intensity of laser-induced fluorescence and in a change in the shape of the fluorescence spectrum. The identifying factor characterizing the change in the shape of the spectrum of laser-induced fluorescence can be the ratio of the fluorescence intensities at two wavelengths: 680 and 740 nm. Measurement of the intensity and shape of the spectrum of laser-induced fluorescence of plants can be the basis of the laser method for detecting stress conditions of plants.
