The study is devoted to identifying the efficiency of the pharmacocorrection schemes for postpartum endometritis in cows used at this enterprise. Vaginal examination revealed the consistency and amount of discharge, rectal examination established the size, presence of wall thickening, and fluctuation of the uterine contents. Bacteriological examination of vaginal discharge with inoculation on nutrient media revealed and identified pathogens, as well as their sensitivity to antibiotics. Salt agar was used to identify staphylococci, for detection of E. coli - Endo medium, and for treptococci - blood agar. Based on the morphology and cultural properties in smears, three main pathogens were identified: Escherichia coli in 10% of the examined cows, Staphylococcus in 12%, Streptococcus pyogenes in 13%. Monocultures of microorganisms were present in 70 heads out of 200 examined. During laboratory examination of smears, associations of Escherichia coli and Enterococcus faecalis microorganisms were also isolated in 25% of cows from the total number of those examined, disrupting the balance of the uterine microflora. Association of Staphylococcus epidermidis and Corynebacterium spp. - in 20% of cows, indicating damage to the uterine mucosa. Streptococcus uberis and Trueperella pyogenes - in 10%, indicating trauma to the uterine mucosa after parturition. Escherichia coli and Lactobacillus spp. - in 10% of cows, restoring normal microflora after its disruption. During the experiment comparing the effectiveness of two treatment regimens for acute purulent-catarrhal endometritis in cows, it was found that the use of the antibacterial drug "Zinaprim" reduces the number of days of treatment, increases the number of healthy animals, while the therapeutic effectiveness is 95% compared to the drug "Amoxigard". The obtained data may be useful for developing schemes for the pharmacocorrection of postpartum endometritis in cows on farms, as well as for comparative analysis with other types of farm animals.
