Legalizing informal employment in Russia: basic results and unsolved problems

In recent years, the problem of informal employment in our country has been included in the current agenda of the state policy being implemented. Since 2014, according to the instructions of the government of the Rossiyskaya Federatsiya, a lot of active work has been carried out in the regions to legalize informal employment. The basic results of these events have been analyzed. It is shown that despite the efforts made there was no noticeable positive dynamics regarding the legalization of hiring employees and self-employed. As shown in the article, that may be due to the remaining unsolved problems in the field of legal employment, related to the prevalence of precarious employment, low income from employment, etc.
