The object of research is lightweight steel concrete trusses (LSCT) consisting of light gauge steal profiles and foam lightweight cellular concrete filling. This work aims to propose and substantiate a non-standard design solution – strengthening the light gauge steel truss with foam concrete with the density of 200 kg/m3 and 400 kg/m3. Methods. The technology based on filling the space between the elements of the truss with foam concrete «Sovbi» is proposed as a method of strengthening. Results. Numerical modelling of filling the space between the elements of the truss with «Sovbi» foam concrete showed that the structure is being unloaded. The factor of use of the material decreased to 0.87 when using foam concrete with the density of 200 kg/m3 and to 0.74 when using foam concrete with the density of 400 kg/m3. When using foam concrete with the density of 200 kg/m3, the deflections in the structure decreased by 17%, internal longitudinal forces in the elements of the truss decreased by 20%. When using foam concrete with the density of 400 kg/m3, displacement in the structure decreased by 27%, and internal longitudinal forces in the elements of the truss decreased by 29%.
