The Rhetorical poetics, image affecting poetics, as an area of linguistics has been formed in the late 20th century in the concept of the national school of neoclassical rhetoric, in particular, in the researches of AK Mi-khalskaya [1], Yu.V.Rozhdestvenskiy [2], A.A. Volkov [3]. At the present time, the terminological and conceptual apparatus of the rhetorical poetics continues to expand and improve. It is considered important to add the term "lexie" to the major affecting units of the rhetorical poetics such as «symbolic word», «image», «brand», «mythologem» [1,263]. The term “lexie” was introduced by Roland Barthes in his study "S \ Z"[4]. The concept of "Lexie" has not yet been developed in researches, however in our opinion the essence of this concept defines almost all main forms and methods of rhetorical effects in literary texts. The aim of the article is to identify the major features of Lexie as a unit of text content.
